Job Purpose Towson University is accepting applications for a Technical System Coordinator in the University Store. Under the direction of the University Store Director, responsibilities will include development, implementation, and maintenance of the Ustore website. Maintenance and coordination of all computerized applications and hardware within the Ustore.
Description The Technical System Coordinator is responsible for the University Store Website and e-commerce including; processing orders, maintaining Towson UStore site as well as towsonustore.com, online order processing, account maintenance & risk management for on-line service and POS. This position will review, update and develop continued web presence and usability; maintain Tiger Rewards program, review monthly redemptions and analyze and report use; resolve and manage Tiger Rewards profile. Responsible for web design and implementing layout as well as promo codes. Works directly with Marketing Manager under the direction of University Store Director on digital images and product presentation; new product review and discontinuation change; identifying and implementing plans to draw more traffic to the Web site; making storefront graphic suggestions to maximize and improve the customer experience.
In addition, the Technical System Coordinator maintains the Point of Sale System; performing system updates, monitoring internal servers and services, maintaining hardware, posting daily sales data and resolving sales data errors, and performing system backups; supports the Mobile POS and services department computers, laptops, tablets, printers, etc. Maintain and support multiple software packages which include: MBS, Endicia (USPS), WTS, etc.; setup off-site technical needs; identify, evaluate, and recommend new software/hardware products and services; test and debug new web-based services; completes data feeds and transfers; serves as a liaison between store systems and campus and vendor support entities for maintenance of hardware/software; assists and coordinates training for users on various computer applications as needed; orders systems operations supplies; oversees risk assessment with OTS; experience with Profile Management; demonstrates excellent customer service; other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience. Experience with a variety of web-based tools including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), social media, multimedia, and retail web navigation. Excellent customer service skills. Highly organized, detailed-oriented, and takes initiative. Advanced degree preferred.
