University of Kansas and Balls Food Stores PGY1 Community-Based Residency
The University of Kansas School of Pharmacy, in partnership with Balls Food Stores, offers a 53-54 week PGY1 community-based pharmacy residency training program.  The residency focuses on providing care to patients with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and dyslipidemia in a community pharmacy.  The residency also provides experience administering immunizations and providing MTM services as well as ambulatory care experience in a lipid specialty clinic and geriatrics clinic.  Didactic lecturing, practice based research and a business plan are among the residency requirements. Additionally, the residents have the option of participating in a Teaching and Learning Curriculum through the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy.
